| It would be wonderful if people COULD like them equally becauseThe Supremes and "Diane as a solo act" are two completely SEPARATE entities. The problem comes when the "Ross as a solo act" fans, who did NOT experience the phenomenon of the legendary trio first hand, try to impose Diane's "solo act image" onto the group. It didn't exist then.......the group was BIGGER than any of the inidvidual members. They also see Flo and Mary like the girls in Tony Orlando and Dawn. It was never like that! |

| well i think i do like them equally. i loved the supremes of the 60's and thought they were everything that p[eople said they were...but i also love diana solo. i buy everything diana and i buy everything supremes. cheers. |

| There was a definite "chemistry" or "x factor" when Diane sang with Flo and Mary, that NEVER existed when she sang with other studio singers...There voices were magical TOGETHER, in a call and response fashion...Even Diane admits to having a certain confidence when on stage with Mary and Florence...she was certainly unsure of Cindy at first, but came to trust that sound she produced would be at least "adequate". |
